Team Captain Guide

Thank you for stepping up and becoming a team leader! Now that you’ve taken the lead there’s a few steps you need to follow to make your Bowl For Kids’ Sake experience most satisfying. Don’t worry, they’re easy and fun.

1. Create a Team

Click here to create a personal account and a team page. We’ll need pretty simple things like your name and email address.

2. Give Your Team a Name

Being a team leader has some benefits, like being able to give your team a clever, exciting or appropriate name.

3. Set a Fundraising Goal

Determine how much you want your team to help central Iowa’s kids. Think about how much you can help, how much your friends can help and set a goal that can make a difference.

4. Make the Team Private or Public

If you have team members in mind, make your team private so that you can invite the team members you want personally. If you’re open to anybody, a public team is one that anyone can join.

5. Create Your Profile

As the team leader, you are also the first team member. That gives you your own profile with your picture, a personal fundraising goal (as part of your team fundraising goal) and some personal information.

6. Create Your Team

The team has a leader but now it needs a team. Invite your friends (every team needs up to five members) and assemble your Bowl For Kids’ Sake squad.

7. Determine a Bowling Center and Time

Work with your team to find the best time and location for your bowling party on March 2. You can choose from any of the below locations and times:

Merle Hay Lanes
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Plaza Lanes
3:00 pm – 5:00 pm (Private)
